Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. "
In this verse, Paul contrasts slavery to sin and slavery to Christ. He says that slavery to sin leads to death, while slavery to Christ leads to life.
Paul describes the possibility that we can become servants of righteousness by trusting in Christ. He says that those who have made Jesus the Lord of their lives are no longer enslaved by sin. They have the power to live victoriously without sin and are truly free.
"Sin brings guilt; freedom brings a clear conscience. Sin causes condemnation and fear; freedom results in peace with God and having no fear of death or eternity."
