How do the caregiver notifications work?+
Every RideAlert plan links to our caregiver notification network. When the button is pressed, designated family members receive instant text alerts to coordinate care.
What does the 1-Year Protection Plan cover?+
It covers a full 12-month device warranty (free replacement if the button, hub, lanyard, or clip fails), one no-charge replacement per year for a lost or accidentally damaged device, battery replacement, activation and pairing support from our Yuma team, the 24/7 monitoring connection, and priority shipping on covered replacements. It is included at no extra charge with your 3-Month Starter Pass — there is no separate $179 hardware & setup charge.
Do I own the hardware, or is it a lease?+
You own it. Buttons and hubs purchased in the $179 hardware & setup bundle are yours to keep — there is no lease and nothing to return if you cancel. If you change your mind, unused hardware can be returned in the prepaid mailer within 14 days of delivery for a full bundle refund. The only exception is hardware we provide at no upfront cost, including free replacements under the 1-Year Protection Plan: those devices stay Ride Local property and must be returned within 14 days of cancellation or are billed at the $59 per-device replacement cost.
